About Anna Arakelyan

Anna Arakelyan is a Senior Instructor in the Institute of Humanities at Russian-Armenian University where she has been a faculty member since 2007. She has over fifteen years of experience in EFL teaching and over ten years of teacher training experience. Since 2005, she has been Armenian language and culture facilitator (LCF) at US Peace Corps, Armenia. Ms. Arakelyan has been serving for AELTA since 2009 in the capacities of AELTA Secretary (2009-2014) and that of AELTA President since 2014. Ms. Anna Arakelyan is currently pursuing her PhD in Education Leadership and Management at South-West University, China. Her research interests lie in the area of teachers’ professional development, curriculum design and implementation, and critical thinking in higher education.
