About Anna B.

A natural and creative communicator, I have a passion for building community through arts and ecological initiatives. I do this as a Marketing Manager, and as a choir director, singer, and co-director of Gay4Nature Collective (an award-winning ecological musical arts project).(:'!) I worked in arts and wellness admin for many years, eventually discovering that what gives me energy is more creative and community-building work. I am good at seeing how things connect, connecting the right people with each other, and coming up with creative (and fun!) solutions. Inspired by Sir David Attenborough’s 2020 call for environmental action through communications, I see my music and marketing work as contributing to this mission. ‍ In 2022, I became the Marketing Manager for Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs, transforming the organization's online presence and growing its audience. Prior to this, I worked as Assistant to the Registrar at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, as a site coordinator at the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and in a variety of other administrative roles. I have also worked extensively as a music director for churches, choirs, and theatre. These roles require a LOT of clear and artful communication. As co-creator and co-director of Gay4Nature Collective, managing our playful online presence has been a joyful and authentic application of my marketing skills. I enjoy weaving our vision and aesthetic through everything we do - be it marketing, merch, performance, or community outreach. I value creativity, kindness, inclusion, and passion in my workplace and am fortunate to live on unceded Lekwungen Territory (Victoria, BC). I am motivated when working for an authentically caring organization where team wellbeing is prioritized - contributing my marketing, creative, design, and community-building skills to do my part in supporting a healthy workplace that addresses a social need brings me a sense of purpose.
