About Anna Bart

In both my fashion editorial and conceptual portraits, I seek for an intimate connection with my subject in order to express the essence of a person. My process consists of conceptual ideas, trends and collaboration constructed together with purpose and imagination. I plan my shoots based on outside influences, but encourage those involved to bring their own creativity to the table. I believe that a portrait of a person captures a subtle moment of one’s true character. In 2008, when I was studying sociology, I longed to be behind the lens of the camera. After a semester, I went home and deliberated art school. In 2009 I moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue my BFA in Photography and Design. This giant leap took me out of my comfort zone and has give me purpose as a photographer. My influences range from pop culture trends to contemporary editorial and fashion images. When I‘m not photographing, I enjoy reading, camping with my extended family and looking for the next adventure photography, or otherwise.
