About Anna Bartolo

I advise local and international insurers and insureds regarding claims for indemnity arising from litigation and unlitigated actions, predominately in the financial lines, directors & officers and construction sectors. I hold a Bachelor of Laws/Business (Accountancy) from the University of Queensland and have over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Clients routinely tell me that they are relieved that I don’t use legal jargon and I provide direct, pragmatic advice. My expertise includes advising clients in relation to insurance coverage and acting as defence counsel on a range of litigated and unlitigated matters involving: • Claims against financial institutions; • Claims against directors and officers for breaches of their directors duties; • Claims against a broad range of professionals for breaches of contract and negligence; • Securities class actions; and • Royal commissions and other parliamentary inquiries. Growing up on a farm in a small town in Mackay, Queensland, I was eager to get a taste of the big smoke and moved to Brisbane when I was 18, followed by a few years in London. After living in London, I realised I missed Australian beaches and the weather, and for the past 7 years I’ve been enjoying the city and the beach here in Sydney. I always welcome new connections.
