About Anna Bennett

Currently completing a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood & Primary) at ACU, and I have over 5 years experience working with and teaching children of various ages, including practicums undertaken in Birth-to-Two Years (metropolitan setting), Kindergarten (metropolitan setting), Prep/Foundation Year (rural setting), and Year 5 (metropolitan setting). Within these beginning years as a pre-service teacher, I have already had valuable opportunities to teach and engage with children and other experienced educators across diverse domains. Through these experiences, I have strengthened my advocacy for all children by ensuring through my teaching I am providing the power of knowledge, empowering student voice, and maintaining flexibility. From teaching both within and outside Australia, the idea of one as part of a global citizenship has engrained itself into my pedagogical philosophy. Furthermore, my philosophy of teaching is guided by three main concepts: safe risk-taking through choice, supporting emotional intelligence and resilience, and reciprocal relationships. It is my responsibility now and forever, to uplift others and instil a love for exploration, wellbeing and learning.
