About Anna Bennion

I am passionate about team work, education, and, above all, the power of words. I have 15 years’ experience teaching writing to graduate and undergraduate students, both in the classroom and in writing centers. During that time, I had many opportunities to articulate clear communication, to encourage students think about writing in the real world, and to help fellow faculty members learn to teach writing skills to their own students. At the University of South Carolina I created and lead a peer writing program with the university’s Student Success Center. In that position, I hired and trained undergraduates from many disciplines to tutor composition broadly conceived and worked with them to cultivate writing skills in their peers. I'm currently a proposal writer and marketing content writer for Nomi Health. I enjoy the dynamic nature of these positions as I get to write different kinds of content for different audiences and purposes. I relish working with others to understand context, content, problems, and proposed solutions. Discussing and workshopping projects with teams at Nomi Health fosters a collaborative dynamic that has energized me at every stage of my writing career.
