About Anna Bilous

Hey there! My name is Anna, I'm audiovisual specialist. I have over nine years of experience in the production industry, where I’ve developed strong skills in directing, creative leadership, and managing projects. I’m naturally curious and always eager to learn and explore new things. As a director, I know how important it is to understand the whole production process—from the first idea to the final edit. I enjoy leading creative projects, which is why I moved into a directorial role. Over the years, I’ve worked on many different projects in roles such as Director, Content Creator, Department Head, and Social Media Officer. I’m good at coming up with creative ideas, turning them into real projects, engaging audiences, and promoting content both online and to clients. Working with people has always been a key part of my job. I’ve led teams of 2 to 20 people, often with people of different ages and backgrounds. I focus on clear communication and making sure everyone is on the same page. After the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, I joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as an Audiovisual Producer. This was a turning point for me. I discovered how meaningful it is to combine creative work with humanitarian goals. For the past two years, I’ve worked on powerful, purpose-driven projects and learned a lot about how audiovisual work can support humanitarian efforts. At ICRC, I’ve done filming, interviews, editing, and visual storytelling. I’ve also helped develop better strategies for communication and public image, while always respecting the organisation’s mission. I’ve learned how to work within a large, mission-driven team and this experience has shaped my career path in humanitarian work. In just two years, I’ve reached important milestones: producing a short film, organising a photo exhibition, filming hundreds of stories, and leading training sessions for colleagues. I’ve also completed several courses in International Humanitarian Law, security, first aid, and storytelling.
