About Anna Blackman

I set up Kind Human following a twenty year career in finance, governance, leadership and mental health and wellbeing as a PwC Partner. I wanted to create an organisation that reflected my strengths - and my values. People who work with me would tell you that I quickly build trusted relationships - because I am empathetic, compassionate and authentic. They would also say I don't shy away from difficult conversations or providing challenge - but that I do this in a constructive and supportive way. I do it with kindness. Kind Human is both a reflection of my deep passion for supporting others but also a reflection of who I want to work with: organisations, and individuals, that want to have a positive impact on the world. I believe want to work with organisations and individuals that are compassionate, brave and innovative - delivering financial AND social value. My current work includes being the COO & Co-Founder at FormScore - a people analytics start up where our mission is to help the world become more intentional about wellbeing and provide employers with the tools and analytics to better support their people. I am also an advisor to Naked Sprout - the UK's most sustainable tissue manufacture, the Chair of Audit Committee at UK Athletics and a Trustee of the InsideOut LeaderBoard charity. My time at PwC - I spent twenty years of my career at PwC, the last 6 as a Partner. My time at PwC enabled me to develop a mature set of skills and expertise with extensive experience at Board level. In terms of ‘what’ I did, I specialised in providing a range of services to clients including internal audit, governance and risk management advice, regulatory risk and compliance support as well as advising organisations on governance and risk when undertaking transactions. My work was focused in two sectors - healthcare and business services and included a secondment to Capita plc, where I worked with the Board, to align the internal audit function to Capita's wider transformation programme- Leadership roles were also an important part of my role at PwC. Most recently leading the firm's business services team - a business of over £200m of revenue and over 400 people. Prior to that I had responsibility for the coaching, development, performance, reward, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing of over 1,200 people across seven offices.
