About Anna Blake

I am an enthusiastic and organized communication professional and researcher with over 15 years of experience in building and growing communities and businesses. My career spans a variety of roles, including research, content creation, public speaking, project management, event and program coordination, and communications and marketing consulting for clients ranging from innovative startups to global brands. I am passionate about cultivating meaningful work, fostering connections, and continuously learning. Currently, I’m the Program Manager for the Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco, where I support program coordination, internal and external communications, concert and retreat logistics, and chorister engagement. I collaborate across teams to bring the artistic vision to life while fostering an organized and welcoming environment for 300+ people. My journey into communication evolved alongside my frequent collaborations organizing and managing 77+ live events with renowned organizations such as AT & T and The Women's Impact Alliance. This work allowed me to run successful campaigns and negotiate 8 business partnerships on behalf of organizations like Spotify and RAW: natural born artists, as well as hold 7 unique leadership positions over the course of my career, mentoring and guiding teams to achieve their goals. As a community builder, I co-founded and led a thriving in-person arts community of 180 people, fostering new connections and growing engagement. Additionally, I established and managed an online LinkedIn group for Spotify influencers with 205 members, leveraging my experience as a Spotify influencer to create a vibrant, connected community. In my entrepreneurial capacity, I have founded two profitable startups and co-founded another, tackling challenges and problems for legal experts, fellow startups, pet parents, music listeners and more. Cumulatively I have fundraised over $45K in funding for philanthropy and other impactful projects. My work in communication, community building, research and marketing has resulted in writing and delivering 7 keynote speeches (including a TEDx talk), being featured in 4 press articles, and being honored with 5 awards, nominations and grants. Recently, I solo authored a peer-reviewed research article on AI, communication, and arts entrepreneurship, contributing valuable insights to the field.
