My career as a Cyber Defense Professional began with an unlikely opportunity to enter the realm of Configuration Management as a contractor supporting NOAA's GOES program. During the two years in which I spent gaining foundational knowledge of CM concepts and processes, I also worked to earn my B.S. in Cybersecurity Management & Policy. With degree in hand, I was shifted into a maintenance-focused InfoSec Analyst role where I quickly gained experience in Vulnerability Management practices, risk analysis & reporting, investigation & resolution of SIEM events, participation in Security Control Assessments, POA & M tracking, management of digital certificate validations, and development of SOPs. By transitioning to an operationally-focused role with RTX Corporation, I currently function as a multi-discipline Cyber Defense SME in support of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. As a customer-facing Cyber Defense SME, I must exercise consistent organization, have the ability to multitask, demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, as well as effectively collaborate with a variety of teams and resources. I strive to provide exemplary service and guidance to Raytheon & its subsidiaries in all areas of cyber defense as they relate to the business. This support utilizes a large variety of tools, and includes (but is not limited to) the following capabilities-SOC Event Analysis + Data Enrichment -Incident Handling & Response -Insider Threat analysis -Cyber Threat Intelligence -Vulnerability Management -Multi-discipline Risk Assessments -Purple Team Activities
