About Anna Braunizer

Hi there! My name is Anna Braunizer. I work as a community-based occupational therapist - a 'doing therapist'- which means that I work with a variety of people on doing what matters for living well after an injury. I provide both in-person and virtual 1:1 services. I learned about occupational therapy while volunteering with Power to Be, and their principles of "Accept people for who they are; Challenge people in their growth zone, and Encourage people along the way" run through the veins of my practice today. I work as a generalist practitioner and I have a keen interest in mental health, specifically trauma and burnout. I am also curious about ways we can mitigate burnout individually, collectively, and through organizational, learning, social, and systemic design. Outside of work, I love connecting with people, dancing, volunteering and collectively growing community, getting creative, exploring by bike, playing outdoors, singing, going to drag shows, and going to the theatre and arts events. I look forward to getting to know you better and exploring how we can work together.
