About Anna Burleson

I am a top-notch content creator, editor and marketer with more than 10 years of experience in a variety of communication fields. I began my career as a journalist, doggedly filing open records requests and going so far as to climb a wind turbine in the interest of a good story. I've received accolades from the North Dakota Newspaper Association and the Utah Society of Professional Journalists. I then went on to gain experience writing and working as on-camera talent for a product review company, developing testing protocol for everything from toy trains to metal detectors. I now work as Weber State’s web content manager where I manage a team that designs and maintains the university’s more than web pages. In this role, I also assist with public relations communications, social media, project management and marketing endeavors including the university’s award-winning “Be Brilliant” campaign. I am well-versed in web best practices including accessibility, search engine optimization and know just enough HTML to be dangerous. Always an adventurer, I spend my free time with my dogs Nüdl and Oliver.
