About Anna Callan

My empathy and passion to help are the forces that drive me on a daily basis, and the desire to uplift vulnerable populations has been deeply engrained in me since I was young. With over ten years of childcare experience and two years working in a trauma-informed setting, I have developed skills such as active listening and deescalation which serve as a great foundation to my career. In May, I will graduate with my bachelor's in social work with plans to begin working full-time while pursuing my master's degree in the same field. My interests are widespread, but overdose prevention, criminal justice, victim advocacy, diversion, and prison reform are high on my list. Ongoing learning is extremely important to me, and for that reason I routinely complete trainings on topics such as communication, domestic violence, victim advocacy, mental health first aid, and other important topics so that I am kept up to date on how to best serve every population I encounter.
