Background

About Anna Capuzzo

During my studies, I worked for one year at Ca' Foscari's Language Centre, thanks to which I was able to learn skills useful for administrative tasks and I cultivated the ability to work in groups to offer the best possible service. Another significant experience is undoubtedly the internship at the Japan Italy Economic Federation, where I was able to offer my language skills in teaching Italian to foreigners and my cultural knowledge in the creation of media content in Japanese. I was selected on two occasions for a semester of study abroad, the first during my bachelor's years, to attend Kyushu Kyoritsu University (Kitakyushu, Japan) and the second during the two-year master’s degree, to attend Shōwa Women’s University (Tokyo, Japan). In the first case, in addition to improving my language level, I was able to awaken my spirit of initiative and adaptability, create new connections, work part-time and integrate into the Japanese community. In the second case, I was able to deepen my knowledge of advanced Japanese, also by taking academic courses aimed at native speakers, and to study the honorific language (Keigo) and business language. I occasionally translate promotional material from Italian to English for Painting Velvet and participate in Italian and international trade fairs as a sales representative.
