About Anna Chirumbolo

I am an ecologist at Space Intelligence Ltd, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am also a recent MSc graduate in Environmental Monitoring, Protection and Remediation at the University of Turin, Italy. With a background in data analysis from a major digital consultancy, I bring a strong analytical skillset to environmental challenges. I have worked as an Associate Researcher for Professor Lorenza Fontana at the Polytechnic University of Turin on the FIREPOL project, exploring the socio-political impacts of wildfires in Bolivia. I am passionate about forest ecology, in fact I have recently travelled to the Peruvian Amazon to learn about tropical conservation practices, building on my previous field experience in biodiversity monitoring. I am especially interested in applying remote sensing and spatial analysis to understand and protect forest ecosystems.
