About Anna Elders
Over two decades working in mental health has shown me two things - human beings are capable of amazing feats of accomplishment, growth and change and secondly, despite this we have a mental health system that is only just catching up to this notion! Fifteen years working as a therapist has cemented a firm belief that it will be the recognition of these possibilities that will turn both the lives of people around, as well as the services supporting them. Sixteen years training to the workforce has shown me the key to empowering staff is to help them shape a psychologically-based model of practice that will re-energise them and give them hope that the people they are working with can, and with their help will recover.
