About Anna Galindo

I am a higher education leader with extensive experience in academic, pedagogical, and strategic leadership. My career has been defined by leading change: rethinking curricula, driving student number growth, building international collaborations, and embedding digital innovation into the heart of teaching and learning. As Teaching Director for Postgraduate Studies, I lead curriculum transformation across my department, ensuring our programmes remain globally relevant, inclusive, and future-facing. I am also Principal Investigator and lead for the Global Classrooms project, an award-winning initiative that expands international learning opportunities while widening participation and strengthening student belonging. Alongside this, I am spearheading the design and launch of Lancaster’s first fully online MSc Marketing, bringing together digital pedagogy, income diversification, and new approaches to student engagement. Previously, as Programme Director, I oversaw curriculum restructuring that not only improved efficiency and coherence but also tripled first-year recruitment (100 to 350 students), demonstrating the power of linking pedagogical reform with student growth and institutional strategy. My international experience includes strengthening recruitment and institutional visibility through tours in China, collaborations in Americas, Africa and Europe, and sustained engagement in international academic networks. Beyond Lancaster, I contribute actively to the wider sector as an invited speaker, conference presenter, panel member for curriculum revalidations, and external examiner. My work has been recognised with awards for international impact, teaching excellence, and programme innovation. I am passionate about using technology and digital disruption to enhance student learning, support transition and induction, and reimagine higher education for a diverse, global student body. Above all, I bring a commitment to inclusive, innovative, and strategically driven education that prepares students and institutions for the challenges of the future.
