About Anna Germanidi

A highly skilled executive with over 15 years of international experience across film distribution, programming, production and events. I'm passionate about the shared screen experience, to be enjoyed widely and inclusively. As the Director of Exhibition & Programming at Modern Films - a London-based film production and distribution company bringing innovative global stories to local audiences - I led the theatrical and digital release strategies and campaigns. I worked on campaigns for award-winning and critically acclaimed films, such as Drive My Car (2021), Sick of Myself (2022), Occupied City (2023), Four Daughters (2023), Evil Does Not Exist (2023), Green Border (2023), Vermiglio (2024) and Memoir of a Snail (2024). Before working in distribution, I worked for several years in senior project management roles in notable film festivals such the Slamdance Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam. Originally from Athens, Greece, I have lived in Los Angeles, London, and am currently based in Amsterdam. I hold an MA in Film & Television from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a BSc in Economics from University of Piraeus.
