About Anna Herbert

Anna is an experienced philanthropy and engagement manager with a highly successful (25yr+) history of working across diverse sectors including education, medical research, religious institutions, telecommunications and libraries. Anna is skilled in leading teams to achieve the organisation's mission through strategy development, long-term community relationship building and communications management. Anna excels at communicating with empathy in any context, be it at a supporter's kitchen table or a CEO's boardroom. The majority of the multi-million dollar gifts managed by Anna have been the result of one-to-one engagement with philanthropists seeking to give the vulnerable access to education or health care. Anna is also a specialist in bequest and endowment fund establishment for NFPs. Anna is recognised globally as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Master of Business (Distinction) in Philanthropy & Not for Profit Studies from Queensland University of Technology. She is a long-term member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia and was recently accepted into the London Business School - Executive Leadership Program for women, ranked in the top five world-wide for executive education. In a volunteer capacity, Anna is a past President of the Zonta Club of Brisbane Inc and current President of the Zonta Club of Brisbane, Sunrise – both part of an international organisation dedicated to advocacy and the advancement of disadvantaged women and girls. Anna believes philanthropy management is about leading by example, taking the time to understand an individual’s extended story, and assisting philanthropists to wholeheartedly connect to the causes that brings them joy
