About Anna Himiona

Fresh off the plane from New Zealand, Soho's vibrant energy and eccentricity captivated me instantly. Driven to be part of this dynamic scene, my journey began humbly in a production house library, quickly evolving into a role as an information researcher at the BBC, where I embraced everything from breaking news to quiz shows. TVNZ followed, and then a planned one-year stint at Sky News became an exhilarating 16-year adventure. Here, amidst the thrill of breaking news, I refined my strategic, data modelling, and process skills. A pivotal moment came when leading a £40m systems stack overhaul, igniting a fascination with metadata, search algorithms, and digital asset management. Exploring my passion for design, I pursued an M.A. in Set Design, nearly shifting careers. Yet, strategy—truly design in action—called me back. Accepting a senior leadership role managing research and footage sales teams, I never looked back. At Canon EMEA, I deepened my expertise, managing the entire DAM marketing system and operations across EMEA. Later, ICP offered me the ideal community—a consultancy buzzing with marketing technology specialists and data enthusiasts. Here, I’ve guided global brands through the complexities of marketing technology stacks and explored the transformative potential of AI and blockchain/Web 3.0. Today, I empower businesses to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and design systems that meaningfully improve people's work lives. It took time, but I've found my niche—and it's extraordinary.
