About Anna Jochelson

I've spent most of my career in finance, analytical and marketing roles - and no regrets about that whatsoever. I learned a lot, worked with great people and made some great friends. But in 2024 I took a sharp turn and entered the non-profit sector. I wanted to make a direct positive impact on my community, and to work with others who felt the same way. Enter Shelter Movers! In July 2024, I became the Volunteer Services Manager for Shelter Movers Winnipeg - Shelter Movers' tenth chapter to launch in Canada. As Winnipeg's first employee, I have had the privilege of watching our little chapter find its feet, find amazing volunteers, and start providing free moving and storage services to survivors of gender-based violence in and around Winnipeg. We're not so little anymore, and we're excited to continue our growth trajectory with the strong support of our national Shelter Movers team.
