About Anna Kennedy
Anna Kennedy spent 30 years in corporate senior management, in the areas of training and communications before she transitioned to the charitable sector in 2006. She was well entrenched within the lymphedema community on both national and international levels; as a Founding Member and Executive Director of the Canadian Lymphedema Framework (2009 - 2019) and Editor of Pathways – Canada`s lymphedema magazine. Anna was appointed in 2012 to the Board of the International Lymphoedema Framework and served from 2009 - 2018; taking the lead on planning their international conferences. She has presented on patient advocacy initiatives at numerous national and international conferences. After 10 years, she officially retired in December 2019, from her role as Executive Director for the CLF. She maintained her role as the Editor of Pathways - Canada's Lymphedema Magazine; published by the Canadian Lymphedema Framework, volunteering her time. In 2012, Anna was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the lives of Canadians. As a cancer survivor, living with lymphedema, Anna advocates healthy living and a positive attitude to help manage her life-long condition.
