About Anna Kirchberg

Anna Kirchberg studied teaching with special focus on Bilingualism at the University of Education in Freiburg. During her university studies she received a scholarship by the "Studienkolleg der Stiftung der deutschen Wirtschaft", a branch of the foundation of German Business that encourages and supports the next generation of teachers. She is still active in the Alumni Community and has access to a broad network of enthusiastic teachers and teaching students. During her teaching training Anna Kirchberg received additional training in theater pedagogy as well as the basic theories of systemic coaching and consulting. I have been fascinated by the systemic approach ever since. Anna Kirchberg has been working as a classroom teacher and German subject teacher at Phorms Berlin Mitte, a Bilingual School Campus, since 2017. She has also been trusted with additional responsibilities by the leadership team of the school, such as Year Group Coordinator and Subject Coordinator and is an expert in her field. In the summer 2018 Anna Kirchberg was trained as a certified teacher for happiness as a school subject. This is a unique project developed by the Fritz-Schubert-Institut in Heidelberg which teaches children and teenagers about psychological and physical wellbeing, self-worth and mindfulness, including strategies about conflict management, decision-making as well as planning and reflection. In April 2019 -June 2020 she worked as Assistant to the teaching trainer for the “Happiness as a School Subject” Training in Berlin. After winning 2nd place in the Samsung "5G for Society" Challenge in November 2019, Anna and her business partner Franziska Weser founded HEARTUCATE in 2020. Heartucate changes the way we learn by creating learning experiences and adventures. Participants will experience curricular contents while working as a team and solving challenges together in a vivid scenario powered by Augmented Reality. After an intense process Anna decided to leave the Startup and re-focus on teaching and school development while still being a supporter of the Heartucate mindset. Anna is now working in the Digital Campus Development at Phorms Berlin Mitte and set on exploring Digitization and new ways of learning.
