About Anna Kutter

I am a first-year Public History M.A. candidate at American University in Washington, D.C. My research interests include American gender and labor history at the turn of the 20th century. Professionally, I am passionate about museum education and interpretation, particularly at historic house museums, and how these public history tools can be utilized to foster democratic community connections and highlight marginalized or radical aspects of American history. I also hold a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, where I graduated summa cum laude with minors in English and Healthcare Administration. While at Loyola, I conducted independent democratic theory research on the Federal Theatre Project using archival methods.
