About Anna Leddy

I am a social behavioral scientist with over ten years of experience conducting user-centered research to inform the design and implementation of programs and products. I have expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, social behavioral theory, participatory design, patient centered outcomes, and global public health. As a Lead UX Researcher at Meta (formerly Facebook), I conduct research to ensure our messaging products across Facebook and Instagram protect users' privacy and safety. Prior to that, I was an academic researcher at the University of California, San Francisco conducting research to understand and address health disparities. During my academic career, I managed NIH-funded randomized controlled trials in sub-Saharan Africa, evaluated USAID-funded behavior change programs related to HIV and women's empowerment, and designed, implemented, and evaluated several health technologies and novel diagnostic tools to improve infectious disease diagnosis and treatment globally. I am passionate about health equity and thrive in cross functional teamwork environments.
