Hi, I’m Anna. For the past 10 years, I’ve dedicated my time to helping marginalized communities across the country receive access to the health care and the support they need. I began my career in Squamish, providing emergency services to homeless individuals, and have continued this line of work in youth shelters, women’s shelters, crisis services, and trauma counselling. Now, I work as a teaching assistant at York University, where I challenge students to critically engage with the world around them, particularly through a social justice lens. My research involves efforts to highlight the voices of marginalized communities and work to improve social policies and programs in their communities.
