About Anna-Lisa Baker

I have postgraduate training in health and medical research including biostatistical modelling (R programming language), health policy and economics, health economic evaluation, infectious disease control, cancer prevention and control, and qualitative research, as well as general, environmental, and infectious disease epidemiology. In recent years I have explored my strong interest in both clinical and population level health research and have been working part time as a clinical researcher, recently co-authoring a case series published in Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow. In 2023 I also contributed to large collaborative systematic review on recently diagnosed Cancer and Covid - 19 mortality published in the International Journal of Cancer. I am a dedicated health professional with extensive experience as an occupational therapist in public and private settings in Western Australia and the UK. I gained experience in spinal cord injury, neurological rehabilitation, and oncology and palliative care prior to specialisation in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. I attained the Certified Hand Therapist (USA) and Accredited Hand Therapist ( AHTA - Australia) credentials in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
