About Anna-Lisa Wrange

As a project coordinator at GGBC, I lead the Sambio project (2023-2025), consisting of a network of 22 organisations, including several research departments at the University of Gothenburg, but also zoos, science centers, botanical gardens, aquariums and museums in the region of Västra Götaland, Sweden. The aim of the project is to increase awareness of the importance of biodiversity and engagement for protecting it, focusing on both children/schools, the public and businesses in the region. I am also coordinator for the international ERASMUS+ project BiodivOcean (2024-2027), focusing on raising awareness for marine biodiversity among teachers and schools, based on the VIRTUE concept. By background includes 15+ years as a researcher (within sustainable aquaculture on oysters and mussels, coastal ecology, marine invasive species and sustainable antifouling solutions). I also have a great passion for outreach, with extensive experience from working as a guide/educator in public aquariums and science centers. In my current job I get to combine my two passions, being the link between science and outreach!
