About Anna Marks

I am a highly experienced lawyer with a wide skill set. As a law clerk for a federal judge, I research and draft judicial rulings on bankruptcy law and related adversarial and state court litigation. I review and provide recommendations to the judge on contested matters, including confirmation hearings, motions for summary judgment, requests to lift the stay, and motions for default judgment. I have developed expertise in consumer and Chapter 11 bankruptcy law as well as the federal rules of civil procedure. My experience in legal research, writing, and editing is extensive. I also hold the position of Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Ursinus College and served three times as the Interim Title IX Coordinator. In this capacity, I work to identify, address, and resolve students' sexual misconduct complaints. I am passionate about Title IX policy and work to educate faculty, staff and students about the meaning of and options presented by this legislation. I have investigated Title IX and other misconduct complaints and fostered settlements and resolutions. Further, my work drafting policy, analyzing compliance issues, and crafting creative solutions was challenging and satisfying. My position as Legal Studies Coordinator at Ursinus College has further enhanced my skill set. In this capacity, I teach Legal Writing and Argument (Pre-Law Moot Court). I advise Pre-Law students regarding curriculum, law school applications, LSAT preparation, and overall cost benefit analysis of applying to law school. I have developed and coordinated curriculum regarding a Legal Studies Minor.
