About Anna Marson

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over thirteen years of clinical experience in front-line, private, and post-secondary institutional settings offering crisis intervention, counselling and psychotherapy with individuals and couples, group facilitation, and conference presentations. I specialize in the areas of mental health, addictions, trauma, attachment, ADHD, stress, acquired brain injury, and mindfulness-based practice. I recently completed a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University. I began my career working in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side, Victoria’s “Pandora Street” neighbourhood, and Toronto’s Queen West community, where I attained specialized front-line experience in mental health and addictions treatment and harm reduction strategies. I have also done extensive research and practice among adults with acquired brain injuries (ABI). Having lived and traveled abroad, I am both comfortable and familiar working with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds. My training includes work in clinical, empirical, educational, and front-line settings with adults and youth. I also have experience in program development and entrepreneurship through establishing a private practice and launching non-profit addiction programming in the Central West Local Health Integration Network. I have additionally worked as a Counsellor with post-secondary students at Humber College for over four years.
