About Anna Nanas

Experienced researcher, laboratory technician, and current psychology Master's student with a background in biological sciences interested in incorporating biological theories and methods to psychology research. As a strong advocate of patients' rights, I seek to bring awareness to the systemic flaws present during the process of receiving treatment for mental health. I have a strong commitment to social justice and advocacy and intend to practice in a way that reflects these values, taking intersectionality into account during clinical practice, as well as incorporating advocacy into my research. After pursuing my Master's degree, I intend to continue learning about neurobiology and behavior, seeking PhD candidacy in a Behavioral Neuroscience program. I hope to work both in research settings and clinically alongside hospitalized patients. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where I seek licensure and currently reside.
