About Anna Parks

Hello! I am a self-motivated accounting major who loves making art in my free time. Growing up, I've always had a passion for drawing and creating things. I recount the dedication I would have to finish an art project once I committed myself to it. One of my favorite quotes by Leonardo Da Vinci states “Artists are never really done with a project – there's always more that can be improved.” This quote goes along with my belief that there is always more to a project that can be improved—artistic or not. I carry this quote with me through every opportunity, goal, or project I take. As a self-taught artist and ambitious student, experiences and growth are the most essential parts of improving as an artist, future accountant, and person overall. I never knew until high school that my love for creating things would also transition to my future career in a business setting. It was when I took my first accounting course that I fell in love with the process of creating financial statements. Like piecing together a collage, the concept of accounting remains the same in the way that everything fits perfectly together. Not only are finance and accounting my career goals, but insurance is another one! I am currently in the process of earning my life, accident, and health insurance license.
