About Anna Pedroncelli
The goal of my project is to identify new potential biocontrol agents against fire blight disease. To achieve this, we are investigating the interactions between apple flower microbiota and Erwinia amylovora, the bacterial pathogen responsible for the disease. This project combines basic and applied research aiming at paving the way for to reach a sustainable management of fire blight. Passion and curiosity are my driving forces. Why and how do things happen? These are the questions I try to answer, both in science and in everyday life. For me, doing research is not a job, it is the way I can express and nourish many of my passions. In the future, I dream of pursuing my career in plant pathology, exploring new topics, improving my skills, and connecting with other passionate people.
