About Anna Petrov
I am a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, with a background in social work, sales and business. Nearly 20 years ago I became a dietitian because I "wanted to feed people." I saw that too many people were not eating right and worse, not getting enough.~ I've had experience in nonprofit, community and clinical dietetics, and I maintain a consulting practice for nonprofits and family health. However, I have begun to expand my scope. There's more to dietetics than the Food Pyramid! New goals are taking me into the public sector, where I hope to impact our local and national foodways for the better.~ I am learning more about what is and what is not safe food, what is and what is not good policy, and who is and who is not promoting actions and policies that result in safe food and enough of it. I will do what is necessary, within my abilities and scope of practice, to work for that "better,"- a healthy, well-fed America.
