About Anna Piechnik

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, specializing in Medical Device Engineering. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field, focusing on Biomechatronics and Medical Equipment. My interest in engineering in medicine began in 2019 when I studied Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology. Since then, I have consistently developed my competencies by participating in numerous training programs and scientific conferences. One example is the lecture by Professor Serhiy Malynych from the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy in Lviv, titled “Nanotechnology in Science and Industry” (delivered in English), as well as the international conference EMBS ISC 2020 – Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society International Student Conference 2020, featuring speakers such as Ph.D. Jean C. Cruz Hernandez and Dr. Rossa Chan. I also expand my knowledge independently by learning CAD design in programs such as SolidWorks and Alias. Additionally, I develop my skills in the field of composites by creating my own projects, primarily working with carbon fiber. I actively engage in student activities, participating in training sessions organized by the Parliament of Students of the Republic of Poland and applying my theoretical knowledge in practice by contributing to scientific clubs. My goal is to combine medicine with motorsport, which is why I joined the SKN Biokreatywni scientific club at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, where I can develop my passions and gain valuable experience in interdisciplinary projects.
