I have more than 20 years of extensive experience servicing private and public entities in a variety of industries with foreign operations and varying reporting jurisdictions. I serviced entities reporting under IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE and public sector accounting standards. Performed due diligence services including identification of improvements related to internal controls over financial reporting, assessment of relevance of accounting policies, corporate governance considerations and detailed analysis of historical financial information. Acted as Deloitte project lead on these large multi-function projects to assist entities listing on the London Stock Exchange. Experience with various forms of business transformation: digital (digitization of records management, new audit data management system), finance and accounting (transition to new accounting standards), strategic (initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions), process (change in internal controls framework due to regulatory changes), and general operational process improvements. Acted as Deputy Professional Practice Director for Alberta and Prairies Region, initially focusing on both private and public entities and since 2015 on public entities. In this role I performed a number of responsibilities, including implementation, maintenance and monitoring of processes to meet external and internal professional quality standards.
