About Anna Saunders

Anna Saunders is co-founder of PRIMER, Australia’s first digital media social enterprise, and studio PRIMER. ​​PRIMER was launched to elevate women’s voices and engage readers in the issues that matter through quality journalism, with stories ranging from rigorous reports to entertaining essays, first-person pieces and photographic stories. PRIMER also publishes fashion and beauty - as having an interest in current affairs doesn’t preclude women from taking an interest in style. As an editor and journalist, Anna has worked in Sydney and London across newspapers, magazines and digital. She started her career as a newspaper reporter, and later held senior editorial positions at British marie claire, The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine (UK) and as executive editor of marie claire Australia. Most recently, Anna oversaw editorial and commercial digital content at luxury titles marie claire and InStyle Australia, where she doubled traffic on both sites and launched an influencer network.
