About Anna Scott

My name is Anna Scott, and I am an upcoming Senior at Ohio University studying Music Business and Marketing. Music is my passion, I want to support the growth and development of artists. My academic and personal endeavors have prepared me significantly for the Music/Entertainment Industry. I proudly serve as the Public Relations Officer for OU’s Chapter of Women in the Music Industry. Through this role, I coordinate and reach out to female industry professional’s to speak at our meetings. I am lucky to witness the impact of our guest speakers. In fact, I was able to secure my current internship this way. This summer I will be in Los Angeles with Regime Music Group as an Artist Management Intern. Additionally, I am a member of OU’s All-Campus Radio Network. I work closely with the Promo and Programming Departments. In these teams I am a DJ and a Booking Agent for local and regional bands throughout Ohio. My first introduction to music was the Performing Arts. Immersing myself in Musical Theater for so many years has made me never want to stop performing. I am the lead vocalist for Hourglass, an Alt Indie band from Athens, OH. Likewise, I create visual content and manage my bands social media as well as book our shows. I feel so grateful to do what I love and connect with audiences. With that being said, I value musicianship. Growing up as a musician myself has made me increasingly eager to give back to other creatives.
