About Anna Sexton
As a young Provenance Researcher and Art Historian, I am currently a scientific trainee in the Joseph Beuys Archive at Museum Schloss Moyland. I recently completed my Master's thesis on the history of the spoliation and restitution of Nazi-looted art in Strasbourg. With a talent for archival research, I am interested in expanding beyond provenance research within the context of the Second World War to learn more about the discipline within the context of colonialism and how to decolonize the museum space. I have worked in several museums and art galleries in Seattle, Kraków, Strasbourg, Dresden; Leipzig, and Cologne, developing a passion for exhibition curation and museum outreach in both classic and contemporary art.
