About Anna Slone

I face life and work with the same “can-do” positive attitude and the same respect for the integrity of others. I aim to head off problems before they occur, when possible, but I position myself to be able to provide solutions to problems that might emerge. In Information Technology, that translates into taking a preventative, proactive approach, and keeping current with new digital technologies. In line with that vision, I recently became certified in CompTIA A+. I am passionate about supporting and troubleshooting software and hardware operations in support of infrastructure and diverse users, and my experience spans several industries. While I took a hiatus to attend to family issues, I am busy re-immersing myself in the field. In my career, I have supported up to 200 users at a time, trained staff one-on-one and in workshops, and have effectively provided on-site and remote IT support. Career highlights include:* Supervising a staff of 8 providing customer support (up to 50 service tickets per day) and facilitating sales for 5 managers at Lance Computer Systems.* Providing software support for 150 staff members at CDI/Ashland as a Tier I Technician.* Serving as on-site and telephone support point person for up to 200 faculty and staff on campus and 3 extended regional campus centers as a Tier 2 Technician for Morehead State University, generating up to 50 service tickets daily.* Designing and delivering multiple training workshops for 15-20 faculty members at a time through the Faculty/Staff Technology Training Program at Morehead State University. In addition to technical training, my areas of proficiency include hardware and software troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, system administration, database maintenance, network administration, staff supervision, documentation, and customer support.
