As I near the completion of my Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish at Indiana University, my academic journey has been enriched by substantial laboratory expertise that poises me for a notable role in the biochemistry sector.My tenure as a Genomics Validation Technician Intern stands as a testament to this. Here, I became proficient in bench work, mastered genetic testing techniques, and honed my skills in DNA and RNA quantification and analysis. Additionally, this internship provided me with hands-on experience with cutting-edge laboratory equipment, including qPCR, ddPCR, Agilent Bioanalyzer, Qbit, Nanodrop, NGS technologies, and automated liquid handlers.Further complementing my in-depth lab experience, my role as an Undergraduate Teaching Intern at Indiana University’s Chemistry Department enhanced my foundational knowledge and offered an avenue to influence the curriculum’s trajectory.Armed with robust academic grounding, advanced laboratory skills, and exposure to the forefront of biochemical techniques and equipment, I stand prepared to make innovative contributions to the dynamic field of biochemistry.
