About Anna Szalucka

Anna Szałucka is an exciting Polish pianist recognized for her exceptional musicality, intense virtuosity and unique character of playing. Since 2018 a fellow at The Royal Academy of Music in London and King's College London. Anna won the 1st Prize together with four Special Awards at the 3rd Tallinn International Piano Competition. She is a laureate of many other competitions: 1st Prize at the Young Pianists Forum in Rybnik and the 2nd Prize at the IX International Competition for Young Pianists “Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam” in Poland. During her studies in London she’s been awarded The Worshipful Company of Musicians – Harriet Cohen Bach Prize, 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the Sheepdrove Intercollegiate Piano Competition as well as the 3rd Prize at the Sussex International Piano Competition. Anna was also a finalist at the Karol Szymanowski International Competition in Katowice. Most recently she released a debut CD with Naxos, celebrating Polish music of the 20th century including a world premiere of Mikołaj Górecki's Piano Sonata. The pianist has given numerous concerts and recitals around the world cooperating with such institutions as The National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Wiener Beethoven Gesellschaft, The Arthur Rubinstein International Music Foundation, The Worshipful Company of Musicians as well as BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, Classic FM and Polish Radio. The orchestra appearances include concerts with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Worthing Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Baltica and Górecki Chamber Orchestra among others.
