About Anna Szelagowska
My professional experience focuses on research on banking, finance and real estate market. In 2003 I received my PhD in economics at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and in 2012 I achieved my Habilitation degree. In 2021 I was awarded the Professor’s title in social sciences by Polish President. My research focuses on finance and banking (particularly determinants of banking sectors development, branch banking, urban banking, fringe banking), real estate finance, financial innovations, social housing policy and silver economy. At SGH Warsaw School of Economics I teach postgraduate and undergraduate courses in banking, reail banking, real estate finance, financial frauds, financial market innovations. I am also supervisor of MSc and PhD dissertations in the above areas. As a speaker I presented scientific papers in more than 100 domestic and international conferences. I am the author of more than 200 publications, including 8 books and 16 books that she edited. Reviewer of more than 100 books, more than 200 papers. I am the author of expert opinions for such institutions as Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bureau of Research at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Polish National Centre for Research and Development, Nationall Agency for Academics Exchange, European Commission, Warsaw District Court and other public administrative institutions.
