About Anna Thurlbeck
I am a recipient of an ESRC funded studentship (NWSSDTP) at the University of Manchester and am currently conducting postgraduate research in the Global Development Institute. My research interests are situated within the area of politics and political economy of development with additional interest in matters of energy transitions and the study of power. For my PhD, I am exploring fiscal federalism in Nigeria through a political economy lens, tracing the evolution of revenue sharing since the colonial era and the historical antecedents and influences shaping its present-day formulation. I am looking to extend my research into the energy transitions space and am open to research opportunities in that area.
