About Anna Urban

I’m currently a student at Durham College in my last semester of the Office Administration for Health Services diploma program. In my work/study role of two years I’ve worked at two different student support offices, building relationships with students, and helping them to build confidence in themselves. I’ve also supported their learning by booking appointments, find relevant campus resources, and maintaining a clean and welcoming space, thus creating a group of ‘regulars’ because of their frequent attendance. My experience as a volunteer firefighter during high school allowed me to gain a deep understanding of how frightening the worst day of someone’s life can be. Ever since then, I’ve wanted a patient-facing, health-care related career helping those who needed someone in their corner. I am currently seeking a position that would allow me to utilize both my past experience and the new skills and knowledge I’ve acquired within my program.
