About Anna Varley

I studied Politics and Geography at the University of Nottingham and graduated in July 2024 with a 2:1, where I completed my dissertation looking at Formula One and the growing influence of the Middle East on the sport and brand (F1 is a real passion of mine). Before this, I completed my A levels and GCSEs at Emanuel School in London. I am currently working as a Risk Reporting Analyst at AXA UK following my 3 months internship here over the summer where I hope to gain experience, create a positive impression and build the skills base needed for an insurance career. My previous work experiences include working for 6 months in a consulting firm as an office administrator and having the opportunity to work for a few weeks at Bloomberg. On top of this, I have a variety of hospitality work experiences. My co-curricular activities include being netball captain for my university team, where I have played for the last 3 years. This has been a great opportunity to showcase my leadership and teamwork skills. I have also been self-teaching myself Finnish for the past year. I am bilingual with the ability to speak Swedish and Norwegian fluently, which is the reason for my determination to learn a new language. Other interests include reading, skiing and being a big football supporter.
