About Anna Wheeler-Bell

Anna received her B.A. from the UW-Madison in 2009, with a double major in Political Science and International Studies, with certificates in European Studies and African Studies. After that, she successfully completed the Language Interpreter for Health Services Program at Madison Area Technical College, and became a nationally certified Healthcare Interpreter. Anna has worked as a staff interpreter in a clinic setting at Dean Clinic in Madison, WI. She then moved to Ohio and accepted a position as the Program Coordinator for the Immigrant Health Program at Mercy Medical Center. Anna enjoyed hiring, training and coordinating a handful of interpreters as well as more than 300 clinic encounters per month. After moving to Bloomington, Indiana in 2016, Anna began working full time as a Video Remote Interpreter for Paras and Associates Interpreter Systems, and in 2017 incorporated a part-time position as the Staff Spanish Medical Interpreter at Indiana University's School of Optometry Atwater Eye Care Center. In 2018 she decided to seek full time employment again and spent a year as a front desk staff member at IU Health for Primary Care before accepting her current position as Clinic Supervisor at the Atwater Eye Care Center.
