I am an international child rights consultant with over 20 years of experience in development and humanitarian contexts across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. I specialise in safeguarding, disability inclusion, child protection, and child participation — with a focus on ensuring that children, especially those with disabilities, are protected, heard, and empowered in the decisions that affect their lives. My expertise includes: • Research & evaluation: leading global participatory studies and evaluations in more than 18 countries — including Afghanistan, Palestine, Syria, the DRC, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Myanmar/Thailand — and producing accessible outputs such as child-friendly reports, infographics, and advocacy tools. • Capacity strengthening: developing practical resources, peer mentoring schemes, and participatory workshops to equip staff and partners at all levels. • Safeguarding & inclusion: designing and strengthening disability-inclusive safeguarding policies, practice frameworks, and training for local and international organisations. • Organisational development: embedding child rights and safeguarding principles into governance, HR systems, and strategy, ensuring sustainable and inclusive practices. • Policy & advocacy: advising on international processes such as CRC and CRPD reporting and supporting organisations and networks to strengthen their advocacy strategies and amplify children’s voices. • Advisory & mentoring: serving as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and practitioners, providing ongoing guidance on safeguarding dilemmas and strategic reviews.
