About Annabel Willis

I have a passion for history and research, and I have demonstrated my research and design skills in the touring exhibition "Crossing: community and refuge" by the British Museum, where I contributed to the interpretation of the wrecking of The Royal Adelaide (1872) and its impact on the local community. My work was exhibited at Shire Hall Courthouse Museum from December 2022 to February 2023, attracting positive feedback and media attention. I have also developed my organization skills, attention to detail, and team leadership as a Social Media Officer for the History Society at UWE Bristol, where I managed the online presence and engagement of the society, organized events and activities, and supported the committee. As a Front of House Team at Greene King, I provide excellent customer service and hospitality to the guests, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. I also collaborate with my colleagues to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. I am pursuing my MA in Eighteenth Century Studies at the University of York, where I explore the queer woman and their clothing in the long eighteenth century, looking at how they challenged the norms and expectations of their time.
