About Annabelle Cunningham

I'm a recent graduate from Colorado School of Mines with a Master’s in Data Science and a background in geophysics, machine learning, and geospatial analytics. My work sits at the intersection of earth science and data science — developing scalable, data-driven tools to support decision-making in areas like earthquake hazard modeling and natural resource exploration. At the U.S. Geological Survey, I designed predictive models, engineered data pipelines, and built interactive web tools to support ShakeMap products used by engineers and emergency planners — work that’s been presented at leading conferences like SSA and WCEE. I bring experience working across disciplines, from high-resolution 3D imaging of geological cores to developing scalable pipelines for large, complex datasets. My skill set includes Python, SQL, scikit-learn, Docker, and geostatistics, as well as a deep commitment to scientific communication.
